Principles and Methods for Correcting Hard Alloy Woodworking Circular Saw Blades

Hard alloy woodworking circular saw blades are widely used in the woodworking industry due to their high cutting efficiency, smooth cutting surface and long service life. However, due to various reasons, such as uneven grinding, heat treatment deformation or wear, the saw blade may be out of shape or deviate from the cutting direction during use, which will affect the quality of the cutting and cause safety hazards. Therefore, it is necessary to correct the saw blade in time. Here are the principles and methods for correcting hard alloy woodworking circular saw blades.

Principles:

1. The correction should be carried out when the blade has little wear and no missing teeth. Otherwise, the grinding amount will be too large, which will affect the service life of the saw blade and increase the cost.

2. The grinding wheel should be selected according to the material, hardness and shape of the saw blade. The diamond grinding wheel is the most commonly used for hard alloy saw blades.

3. The correction should follow the principle of "thin grinding and light pressure". In other words, the grinding amount should be small and the pressure should be appropriate, so as to avoid excessive grinding and damage to the saw blade.

Methods:

1. Check the saw blade for deviations and record the amount of deviation. The deviation can be checked by measuring the runout of the blade on the saw spindle or by observing the cutting surface with a magnifying glass.

2. Choose the correct grinding wheel and adjust the grinding machine to the correct speed and feed rate.

3. Place the saw blade on the grinding machine and adjust the position of the blade according to the recorded deviation.

4. Gradually move the grinding wheel towards the saw blade, and control the grinding amount and pressure.

5. Once the correction is complete, check the saw blade for any defects or damage, and reassemble it onto the saw spindle.

In conclusion, the correction of hard alloy woodworking circular saw blades is an important step in ensuring the quality of the cutting and extending the service life of the saw blade. By following the above principles and methods, the saw blade can be corrected effectively and safely.
