Use and maintenance of saw blade
Feb 26, 2022
As the teeth of modern industry, cemented carbide is widely used. According to the specific use and cutting environment, the cutting performance of cemented carbide inserts produced by different brands is also different. Carbide circular saw blade milling cutter is suitable for cutting carbide materials such as alloy structural steel, carburized steel, high speed steel, spring steel and various aluminum materials. The use and maintenance of cemented carbide blades should be noted as follows:
1. The alloy head of cemented carbide disk saw blade has sharp and sensitive cutting edge, so the alloy head must be carefully protected from damage during the movement, installation and disassembly of saw blade.
2. Regularly check the radial runout (±0.02mm) and swing (±0.01mm) of the machine spindle.
3. Before installing the saw blade, the sundries on the spindle and flange must be removed. The flange surface should be smooth and clean, and intersect with the shaft vertically.
4. Using the largest flange as possible can make the saw blade run more smoothly, the flange size should be consistent, and the cutting effect is better if the flange size is 1/3 of the saw blade diameter.
5. The saw blade should idle for 30 seconds after the installation is stable, and then start cutting after everything is confirmed to be normal.
6. When the saw blade is installed, the flange nut must be moderately tight. If the saw blade is too loose, it will slip during rotary cutting. If the saw blade is too tight, it will have internal injuries or deformation which will affect the cutting effect.
7. Before cutting the saw blade, the operator must take protective equipment (protective glasses, dust mask, safety helmet and protective gloves) and check whether the saw machine shield is in good condition.
8. It is necessary to regularly remove the resin, debris and other sundries gathered on the side of the saw tooth and saw plate, because the accumulated adhesive will increase the resistance, cause high energy consumption (in extreme cases, it will cause the burning of the machine motor) and roughcutting quality. At the same time, if the cutting edge is blunt, it may cause damage to the serrations.
9. Avoid using corrosive solvents when cleaning. When the saw blade is not used for a long time, it should be cleaned and sharpened, oiled for antirust treatment, and then placed in the original paper box properly.(for details, please visit www.tctsawblades.com)
